Deco desk series

So after the thought of my bedroom re-do had came to mind and especially as i have a very limited budget i decided why not put my art-school learned techniques and my current art student budget to give some hard rubbish some hard lovin Decoupage style. This beauty was found out the front of a local pet-store that had moved onto bigger &better things.

First thing was first and that was to assemble the good necessary to complete this job. I went back to an old favourite and that was the magic of Mod Podge, a three pack of sandpaper, a spray paint and gloss of your choice, sponge applicator and an old potter book to help create the magic.

A few layers of mod podge and pages of a nicely sanded surface pushes this project well on its way.

And drumroll...... The newest addition to my room/gallery has now been completed and once the top coat had hardened this piece shall be loaded up with my favourite artist books to keep on hand and the top used for my current magazine obsession.
